Halloween at half term
Not creepy, but atmospheric!
During this trip, you and your kids will have an excellent time: brew a magic potion in the kitchen of an old castle, make a broomstick and take flying lessons similar to a Harry Potter film set. Visit a pumpkin farm, choose your own and carve it in our country house. You will spend the night with your own family in a lodge or hotel room at Broome Park, an estate from 1638 at a distance of only 9 miles from Dover (where the boat or train from France arrives). It also has a swimming pool, beautiful bar and a golf course.
Spooky Stones are on the loose!
You’ll find them popping up all over the Netherlands and the English county of Kent in the coming year. They’ve already been dropped in various spots in the Netherlands – and even across the UK, like Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, and Rochester Castle!

Take the car for a tour along beautiful historic places in Kent where it is also haunted. You will visit Dover Castle, where the drum roll of the ‘Drummer Boy’ sometimes still sounds through the underground corridor system; the home of Winston Churchill who met the ghost of his deceased father and reported on it himself. And also Rochester Castle. A castle so loved by Charles Dickens that he would have preferred to be buried there and therefore still haunts it.
